Your Official Score Certificate will be sent out within 30 days from the test date. The Official Score Certificate may not arrive successfully if you do not have your name displayed clearly on your mail box.

*If you’ve chosen "テスト結果インターネット表示：利用する" when applying for the test, you will be able to see your scores online about 1 week before the scheduled mailing date.

A Speaking test score and Writing test score will be given separately, each is reported on a scale of 0 to 200 in increments of 10.
There are 8 proficiency levels for TOEIC Speaking test and 9 proficiency levels for the Writing test.
Furthermore, Speaking test assessments relating to pronunciation as well as intonation and stress are also displayed in 3 levels respectively. For more information, please click here(PDF 88KB).

The rating process for the TOEIC Speaking and Writing tests takes place over ETS's Online Scoring Network (OSN), which is a highly secure Internet-based system for evaluating test-takers' responses.
Responses are sent to OSN, where they are scored by certified ETS test raters.

Official Score Certificate within 30 days of the test date

If you did not receive an Official Score Certificate within 35 days from the test date, please call us at the contact telephone number (03-5521-6077) within 65 days after the test date.
Any undelivered certificate report submitted later than that will be considered a request for reissue. The fee for reissuing a certificate is 500 JPY.

If you wish to request us to reissue an Official Score Certificate, please log in to the Internet Services and take necessary steps. You can pay the fee(500 JPY) by Japanese-issued credit card or you can pay at a convenience store in Japan. A reissued certificate will be mailed within 4 business days from the date of application (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and year-end through New Year holidays).
(We do not reissue an Official Score Certificate for a test that has been administered more than 2 years ago.)

If you wish to have an Official Score Certificate sent to a location outside Japan

If you wish to have an Official Score Certificate sent to a location outside Japan for reasons such as study abroad or overseas posting, please send necessary documents and the prescribed amount of postal money order to the Official Score Certificate Overseas Shipping Service. They must arrive within 10 days from the test date.
Fee for overseas shipping service: 2500 JPY for shipping per one address.
Please be advised that we will not accept any request submitted later than 10 days after the test date.

You need to apply for reissue of the certificate if you wish to have an Official Score Certificate for past test administrations sent abroad.

You need to apply for reissue of the certificate if you wish to have an Official Score Certificate for past test administrations sent abroad. We can reissue a certificate only for tests from which less than 2 years have passed. You are to send necessary documents and the prescribed amount of postal money order to the Official Score Certificate Overseas Shipping Service by simplified registered mail.
Fee for overseas shipping service: 2500 JPY for shipping per one address and 500 JPY for reissue (If you need to reissue).

*Necessary documents are valid only when they arrive at the Institute for International Business Communication within 2 years from the test date.

Shipping

An Official Score Certificate will be sent overseas by Express Mail Service (EMS). The institute will mail a “notice of receipt” to the contact address in Japan within 4 business days (excluding Saturdays, Sundays, public holidays and year-end and New Year holidays) from the arrival of necessary documents to inform you of scheduled shipping day.
