Regarding the consideration on the test day of TOEIC^® Speaking and Writing Tests (SP) in fiscal year 2011

Thank you for your continued support to the TOEIC SW tests.

Regarding the TOEIC Speaking and Writing Tests (SP) in the fiscal year 2011, we may have some difficulties to administer the test due to the Eastern Japan Earthquake and expected power shortage in some areas.

When you apply for the TOEIC Speaking and Writing Tests (SP) or when you take the test you have already applied for, please consider the following point 1 and 2. We appreciate your understanding.

1. Regarding consideration on the test day

●Please arrive at your designated test center well in advance.

It may take more time to travel than usual due to the following conditions.

• ●Cancellation, delay, or decreased number of public transportation (trains, buses, etc.)
• ●Heavy traffic
• ※Entry time for AM administration is between 9:15～9:30 and for PM administration is between 13:15～13:30. You will not be permitted to take the test if you arrive after the scheduled entry time. In such case no refund will be offered. Please make sure to arrive within the entry time.

●There is a possibility that we cannot use heating or cooling systems.

• ※We may not be able to provide comfortable environment due to limitation of the use of air conditioning system. Please dress accordingly so that you can adapt to any room temperature.
• ※We usually close doors and windows during the test in order to prevent any noises from outside. However, we may open windows depending on the room temperature.
• We appreciate your understanding.

●Test centers and their facilities may have following conditions.

• ●Not being able to provide enough light because of reduced lighting.
• ●Not being able to use elevators or escalators.
• ●Not being able to use vending machines.

2. Regarding the cancellation of the test caused by unforeseen contingency

There is a possibility that we may have to cancel the administrations because of the continued disruption of the public infrastructure including the power shortage and the disorder of public transportation, communication, and logistics due to the Eastern Japan Earthquake. We appreciate your understanding.
